The Windshield Modular Kit 4 is suitable for 4-million-to- 280-millimeter and 19-34 mm-meter with a 3-pin XLR connector, such as Sennheiser MKH 416, MKH 60 and Schoeps CMIT 5.

The modular windshield kit is the choice of professionals when the maximum insulation of the wind and the noise of manipulation is required. This complete modular system can be configured to allow almost any microphone to be mounted cushioned and provided with different degrees of shielding. Components can be ordered separately or as part of a series of kits that simplify the selection process for many common configurations.
A modular windshield kit consists of the following three main components: Modular suspension, modular windshields and windshields.

Modular suspension
Our suspensions provide complete insulation against manipulation noise and wire-borne noises, as they support the microphone in a cradle layout using Lyre suspense bands.

Windscreens
The windshield basket completely surrounds the microphone and its connector, sliding over the modular suspense to provide up to 30dB attenuation of the noise of the wind. This is the first layer of protection against the wind for your microphone.

Windjammer
The Windjammer, introduced by Rycote in 1985, is a high-quality synthetic leather case designed to fit perfectly into the modular windshield. Provides additional 20dB attenuation of wind noise. It is provided with a cord and a toggle to allow a comfortable and easy fit. Modular windshield kits, which include zipper cuts, are also available on request.
