The image processing system has been improved to deliver high resolution and low noise performance in a wider ISO range. The camera represents the environment of each scene, in addition to the texture of the details.
CMOS Exmor RTM full frame of 42.4 MP4. The design of single-spaced chip lenses and backlit of the Exmor R sensor increases light sensitivity and offers a wide dynamic range, despite its high resolution of 42.4 MP.
Very improved image processing. The new large-scale initial integration and BIONZ XTM increase processing speed and combine with the Exmor RTM sensor to provide a dynamic range of up to 15 steps to low ISO sensitivity for photos, for a richer tonal expression.

Solid, light and reliable design that takes you further. The high-resolution Tru-Finder OLED Quad-VGA viewer offers a high-precision natural image. The functional advantages of an electronic viewer, such as high visibility in the dark and automatic focus ability when expanding the screen, have been improved to allow a powerful capture. Continuous shooting up to 10 fps. Instantly capture an action with continuous shooting of up to 10 fps with AF/AE tracking. The images of 42.4 MP with enormous amount of data maintain a high quality that is convenient for creative cutting.
He shoots continuously in absolute silence. This camera allows silent capture up to 10 fps with AF/AE tracking. Silence is fundamental to capturing wildlife, when even the slightest noise can make you lose the ideal shot.
Drastically improved AF performance. The performance of the automatic approach has been improved by taking as a model the performance of the ?9 and applying it optimally, so when the ?7R III captures a wild animal that moves unpredictablely, it does not allow it to escape easily.
Complete Coverage of Quick Hybrid AF. The AF with phase detection of 399 points, which covers approximately 68 % of the width and height of the image, in addition to the AF with contrast detection of 425 densely located points, improve the approach so that it could not be achieved before.
AF response up to 2 times faster (approx.) Thanks to the much more reliable and improved fast hybrid autofocus, the automatic focus speed is approximately twice faster in reduced lighting conditions.

Thanks to the two built-in slots and to the NP-FZ100 rechargeable battery compatibility, the Sony A7R III also ensures that you can capture with less interruptions, as you don't need to change the support and battery so often.
Continuous capture of up to 76 images. Capture up to 76 RAW or JPEG images compressed into a continuous burst. This allows you to focus with confidence on capturing without distractions.
Two support slots, UHS-II compatibility. With two support slots, which include a UHS-II support for fast data writing, the Alpha 7R III allows recording simultaneously or with delay, separating RAW/JPEG data and photographs/films, and copying data between cards.
Expanded capture at professional level. La A7R III allows you to use a NP-FZ100 battery with approximately 2.2 times the capacity of an NP-FW50 battery. USB Type-CTM and multi/micro USB ports allow you to connect external batteries to capture for longer.

New potential for portraits
Eye AF with duplicate performance. In the A7R III, the Eye AF function has been improved with detection and eye tracking twice6 more immediate and effective, even when capturing the protagonist of a moving portrait. Even if the face is partly concealed, looking down or with dim light.
Improved image stabilization: freer capture. Thanks to the 5-axis image stabilizer on the camera, whenever you want to move and capture freely, you can rely on high resolution performance and mobility of the ?7R III, so that you can focus on the subject without worrying about the different types of vibrational blurry of the camera.
5-axis optical image stabilization in the body. The stabilization unit and the new spin sensors and algorithms efficiently reach 5.5 steps, to compensate for five types of vibration: angular vibration (longitudinal/lateral), X/Y axle change and rotational vibration (albeum).
Fluid study workflow
High connectivity for professional workflows. La A7R III includes USB 3.1 Gen 1 compatible with USB Type-CTM port and synchronization terminals that allow you to connect the camera directly to external devices without delay. These connections make the workflow more optimized and simple, even for study sessions where capture and flash are anchored to a PC.

4K HDR high resolution. In addition to the ability to record stunning high-resolution 4K movies by over-there 5K (15 MP), the camera features a new HLG image profile ( Hybrid Log Throat), compatible with immediate HDR workflow, which offers a wide dynamic range to get realistic high-precision movies without color gradation.
High resolution. Capture and record 4K movies with oversampling. You can capture and record in-house 4K films oversampled from data equivalent to 5K (15 MP) in Super 35 mm format. The results are amazingly beautiful in every detail.
Evolution of the automatic approach. Improved fast hybrid autofocus. The fast hybrid autofocus for movies now automatically focuses subjects in an area as wide as the one that applies to photos, and the automatic approach is very fluid and fast when capturing subjects that move quickly.
Suitable for different HDR production needs. La A7R III has S-Log to flexibly express post-production images and HLG to enjoy immediate HDR workflow, a combination that meets different HDR production requirements.
